Welcome to our photography website! We are a husband and wife team with a passion for capturing life’s most precious moments. Our approach is a blend of traditional and photojournalistic styles, ensuring that we capture not just your posed and smiling faces, but also the candid, intimate moments that often go unnoticed. We pride ourselves on our ability to make our clients feel comfortable in front of the camera, resulting in natural, genuine photographs that truly reflect the joy and love of your special day.

From childhood through college years, Ellen was always the friend with a camera in hand. After a couple years being married, we decided to upgrade from the fun polaroids and digital camera to our first DSLR–right before a trip to Europe. After capturing beautiful European landscapes, we immediately knew we wanted to invest more time and money into this hobby. So, we started Kraus Photos!

We started our photography business in mountainous Utah, then moved to Tucson in fall of 2018. We were a little apprehensive about photoshoots in a completely new landscape, but we quickly fell in love with the desert scenery, the cute downtown urban vibes, and everything Tucson has to offer.

When we’re not doing photoshoots, Ellen stays home with our three daughters (pictured below), editing photos during nap time, and spends her free time reading, painting, or getting outside. Dustan works full time as a robotics software engineer, and his favorite hobby and passion is mountain biking. As a family, we love exploring new places, hiking, camping, going on bike rides, playing games, and eating lots of good food.
